What We Do
At Against All Odds Foundation (AGAOF), we empower women, girls, and vulnerable communities through programs that promote resilience, equality, health, and sustainable development.
Our Areas of Focus
AGAOF implements integrated programs across multiple sectors to meet the diverse needs of conflict-affected and climate-impacted communities. Our approach combines advocacy, empowerment, capacity building, and collaboration with government, partners, and local stakeholders. Below are the six core areas through which we create lasting change.
Health
We strengthen access to essential health care, mental health, and psychosocial support services for vulnerable populations. Our programs promote wellness, improve hygiene practices, and provide life-saving medical interventions to crisis-affected families, ensuring healthier, safer, and more resilient communities capable of overcoming health and humanitarian challenges across Northeast Nigeria.
Protection & GBV Response
We advocate for gender equality, raise awareness on human rights, and offer counseling and referral support to survivors of gender-based violence. Through education, empowerment, and community engagement, we work to eliminate stigma, promote inclusion, and create safe spaces where women, girls, and vulnerable individuals live free from abuse and discrimination.
Livelihood & Early Recovery
We rebuild lives through skills training, entrepreneurship, and access to livelihood opportunities that foster independence and dignity. AGAOF empowers women and youths with vocational skills, startup kits, and business mentoring, enabling displaced and crisis-affected communities to recover economically, reduce poverty, and achieve sustainable development through self-reliance and productivity.
Education
We promote inclusive and equitable education by supporting vulnerable children and women with access to quality learning. Our interventions provide school supplies, scholarships, mentorship, and awareness campaigns that encourage enrollment, retention, and life-long learning, ensuring every child and woman has the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead meaningful lives.
Food Security
We enhance community resilience through agricultural empowerment and improved access to nutritious food. AGAOF supports smallholder farmers, promotes home gardening, and conducts nutrition awareness campaigns that strengthen family well-being, improve dietary diversity, and boost income generation, reducing hunger and ensuring sustainable food systems in vulnerable and crisis-affected areas.
Climate Action & Peace Building
We combine environmental awareness and peacebuilding initiatives to create sustainable, resilient communities. Our programs promote tree planting, clean energy, and environmental protection while fostering dialogue, mediation, and community collaboration. By empowering women and youths, AGAOF builds harmony, reduces conflict, and strengthens collective responsibility toward a peaceful and green
